Supporting an employee’s medically assessed restrictions and/or limitations in the workplace is considered accommodation. It is a “reasonable” change or adjustment to an employee’s work, workplace environment or both to enable the employee to productively perform the essential duties of an existing job in a healthy and safe manner.”
